NVK & IEO

Last 2018 at the beautiful Natsuko Toyofuku atelier in Milan, Corso Como 9, an informative meeting was held on skin health, products used for ii derma and proper clothing choices. Dr. Giulio Tosti, a dermatologist from the IEO (European Oncological Institute), together with Dr. Mauro Rossetti, a textile chemist, analyzed the topic of eco-sustainability and dermo-compatibility of commonly used products (cosmetics, drugs, sunscreens, medical devices, textiles), which are applied on the skin and the current health risk for the consumer in the Made in Italy system.

To protect the consumer and promote on the world stage the uniqueness and sustainability of Italian Manufacturing Companies and underway is an Italian Fashion initiative that has no equal, and NVK Daydoll by Natasha Calandrino Van Kleef is a concrete and virtuous example of its implementation.

Established in 2010 NVK DAYDOLL is an ethical and sustainable collection made exclusively from LENZING's TENCEL™ - Modal fabric, a fiber of plant origin derived primarily from beech pulp from responsibly managed forests in northern Europe.

It is the extraordinary breathable and healthy capacity of the garments, along with their sustainability, that has enabled the NVK collection to obtain “Ministerial Certification for the Textile and Health Project” (cert. No 14900108 issued by the Ministry of Health to “protect the health of citizens, guaranteeing the safety and transparency of the textile product of Clothing to the final consumer”).
