Art for Education

Italian Friends of The Citizens Foundation is an Italian VO that promotes women's education in Pakistan. The association is the Milan-based partner of the Pakistani NGO The Citizens Foundation - TCF, which has been working in the education sector since 1996, implementing quality secular schools for the most disadvantaged in Pakistan, particularly girls.

Through awareness-raising and fundraising campaigns, Italian Friends of TCF affirms TCF's values: overcoming social privilege and barriers, boosting women's educational access, and fostering positive societal change through education. All of TCF's schools are a landmark for the communities in which they are located. The school buildings are all equipped with well-lit and airy classrooms, offices, a courtyard, a library, and computer and science labs to provide students with a stimulating learning environment.

The activity is sustained by private funding and fundraising through various charitable initiatives including the organization of events and exhibitions of objects and works of art by Pakistani artists that are promoted in evocative and even public places in our city. An enlightened example of public-private synergy was the exhibition “Art for Education ”organized within the halls of the Diocesan Museum and Palazzo Serbelloni of which I was a partner as NVK Design.
