Silentbloom

At a time when the perception of the environment is conditioned by the hectic pace of work and cities, the need to transform one's home or workplace into a place of relaxation and acoustic well-being becomes predominant. The economic investments to insulate one's housing units from the noise of the city, the street and vehicular traffic are often substantial and not always aesthetically appreciable or functional: in fact, the use of double closures or double glazing not only does not allow one to maintain period windows and doors but is among the highest items of expenditure in construction but also stops the healthy microcirculation of air consequent to the entry of outside air from old artifacts.

The Silentbloom® soundproof planter, is proposed as a unique, practical and economical system to solve noise problems in all those environments that face the street: homes, offices, hospitals and schools. It is placed on windowsills and works with both closed and open windows. Using the shrewdness of keeping the size of the free side space of the window compartment less than 5 cm per side, a noise abatement of more than 4 dB (A) is achieved, reaching the abatement of more than 6 dB at the frequency of 4000 Hz.
